The section aims to be truly representative of the scope of Emergency Medicine and more specifically Emergency Ultrasound as practiced in the European Emergency Medicine Community. Developments of the section and the plans for the future will be discussed.

Research in Emergency Medicine is a challenging task. The EUSEM Research Committee is committed to promoting and conducting high-quality research.
Many research projects will be presented, like Syncopy, Research Network, Pan-European ED Database Project, Pain Consensus Initiative, Child abuse training programme and more.
Pre-hospital section meeting

Pre-hospital emergency care is an integral part of emergency medicine and is extremely important as a first link in the chain of survival. Despite different approaches within European countries the EUSEM Pre-hospital Section would like to develop pre-hospital emergency care and ensure the highest quality of performance all over Europe. Developments of the section and the plans for the future will be discussed.

Toxicology section meeting

This is a young section of EUSEM, that started last year. This is your opportunity to get involved from the start, because the section is still in it's foundation stage.
Research network meeting
10:30-12:30 > Room Club E
EUSEM has launched the Research Network under the inspiring leadership of Said Laribi, past-chair of the Research Committee. Each country affiliated to EUSEM will have one representative in the Network, the Country Lead. Country Leads will be responsible for planning research activities in relation with the EUSEM research committee and coordinating EM sites in their country. Every site will be managed by the Site Principal Investigator, who is responsible for recruiting the patients.

Disaster Medicine section meeting

In the case of a major incident, a natural disaster or other special circumstances, specialists in Emergency Medicine would normally lead the organisation of medical care. Developments of the section and the plans for the future will be discussed: Pre-course, Refresher course and more.
Paediatric section meeting

Paediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) links the specialties of Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine. This is a big and very active section with their own research network. Developments of the section and the plans for the future will be discussed: Pre-course, Refresher course and more.
Emergency Medicine-Day meeting

Thanks to the help of many of you, last years EM-Day was a big success. We will make the impact for EM-Day 2020 bigger! Please attend the kick-off meeting to discuss the Theme and brainstorm about initiatives. We want you all to be involved from all over the world.
Geriatric section meeting

This is a very active section within EUSEM in collaboration with European Geriatric Medicine Society (EUGMS). The section is busy with writing guidelines at the moment. Developments of the section and the plans for the future will be discussed: Research, Pre-course, Guidelines and more.
YEMD section meeting

The new EUSEM platform for the YEMD Fellowship Training programme will be launched at the YEMD section meeting. The programme will provide a wide range of excellent training for emergency medicine trainees at hosting centres across Europe.
